lyrics
take my shoes, and throw them all away
take my heart, try to get it to say…
“I’m real, and I’m here right now”
I’m saying something, should I scrape and bow?
I found a space, and with a nudge and dodge
I put it out, I put it right on top…
And then I say…
take my time, and waste it all away
take my mind, cram it into today
I’ve got to listen to what I say
I’ve got nothing to lose that way

Well I can’t lie I’ve been a huge fan of all bands and projects that all led to this band, but if I had to pin a thought I’d say if the Minutemen and Fugazi had a child this is what it’d sound like!!!! Greg Jaeger

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
A slow drip of Tropicália-infused psychedelia from New Orleans rock outfit Blue Basin: balmy one moment, aggressive the next. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 22, 2022
Driven by guitars that are by turns intricately melodic and gravelly, Kaz Mirblouk's sophomore album is highly enjoyable rock music. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 7, 2021
